 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about AMA Manual of Style Online

When you start an AMA Manual of Style Online session, you will find yourself on the home page. From here you can

• Launch a search – type one or more words into the Quick Search box at the top left of the page, and click Go or press Return/Enter on your keyboard. See the Help section on Quick Search for more on this.
• Launch an advanced search – click on the Advanced Search link just below the Quick Search box. Here, choose either the Standard Search or the Index Search tab.
• Browse through a particular section – click on Book Contents in the left navigation pane. Choose a section and then expand and collapse subsections as needed.
• Go directly to a certain section or subsection – click on the drop-down menu running horizontally across the home page. You can also access this drop-down menu from any page on the site.
• Browse the index – click on Index in the left navigation pane, and then use the alphabet bar to find a specific term or browse using the Previous or Next arrows.
